Marseille-Fos, France
France's largest port and a Mediterranean crude gateway. We arrange freight, storage and inspection at the Fos and Lavéra oil terminals.

Marseille-Fos handled 74 million tonnes in 2025, of which 43.5 million tonnes were hydrocarbons. The Fos and Lavéra oil terminals receive crude for refineries around the Étang de Berre, and pipelines carry crude on to eastern France, Switzerland and southern Germany.
Fluxel operates the oil ports at Lavéra and Fos. Nearby refineries include Petroineos at Lavéra and Rhône Energies at Fos. We fix freight into Fos, source storage and appoint inspectors at discharge.
A gateway beyond France
The South European Pipeline (SPSE) links Fos with the Feyzin refinery near Lyon, the Cressier refinery in Switzerland and Karlsruhe in Germany. That makes Fos a discharge point for inland Europe as well as for the Provence refineries. Platts and other agencies use Lavéra, paired with Genoa, as a reference discharge port for CIF Mediterranean product assessments.
- Crude freight into Fos and Lavéra
- Product storage and onward pipeline scheduling
- Independent quantity and quality inspection
- Tracking from load port to discharge
Rules for French terminals
Terminals are classified installations under French ICPE and Seveso rules and are inspected by the regional environment authority. The port is run by the Grand Port Maritime de Marseille.
