Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers to the questions clients ask most: how storage and freight are arranged, how tracking and the portal work, which documents you receive, and how to stay safe from fraud.

Most questions we receive fall into a handful of themes: storage terms, freight, tracking, access to the Buyer / Receipt-Holder Portal, documents, and how to tell a genuine approach from a fraudulent one. The answers below are short and practical. Where a topic needs more depth, the answer points you to the relevant guide in this section.
If your question is about a specific cargo, tank or contract, contact the desk directly so that we can answer it against your own documents. Have your tracking number, contract reference or company name ready, and we will route the inquiry to the team that handles that product, route or account.
Verify before you act
Oil-trade fraud often borrows the names of real terminals. If a message about storage, documents or payment claims to come from us and anything about it feels wrong, stop and check. Call +1 252 633 7061 or email info@corenergylogistics.com, using the details on this website rather than any contact details in the message.
Frequently asked questions
What products do you store?
We store crude oil, refined products, chemicals, renewables and other bulk liquids in tank-farm capacity we own or lease. Product-specific needs, such as heating or dedicated segregation, are agreed in the Tank Storage Agreement before the first receipt.
How do I see which tanks are free?
Use Tank-Farm Availability. It shows which tanks are free, reserved or booked, with days and price. Availability is confirmed in a written offer and becomes binding only when the Tank Storage Agreement is signed by both parties.
Can my product be kept separate from other owners' product?
Yes, if your agreement provides for dedicated tanks. Commingled storage, in which product of the same specification from several owners shares a tank, usually costs less and suits standard grades. Our tank leasing guide explains the trade-offs in detail.
Which transport modes do you arrange?
We move bulk liquids by tanker, barge, rail, truck and pipeline, and combine modes where a route needs it, for example barge into a terminal and truck onward to the end user. Our chartering desk handles marine freight.
Can you quote freight for a CFR, CIF or DAP sale?
Yes. Tell us the product, quantity, load and discharge points, laycan and the delivery term in your sale contract. We align laytime and demurrage terms with your contract, so you are not left carrying a gap between the charter party and the sale.
How does cargo tracking work?
Every movement receives a tracking number. Cargo & Vessel Tracking shows the route from origin to destination, with every waypoint on a map. Enter the number on the public tracker, or open the private link we send you.
Can I share a tracking link with a buyer or bank abroad?
Yes. Every tracking number works on the public tracker and on a private link, in any language, so a buyer, inspector or bank can follow the same movement in the language they read. Share private links only with people who need them.
Which conveyances can be tracked?
Tracking covers movements by the conveyances we arrange, from tankers and barges to rail and trucks. Our conveyance types page explains what the tracker shows for each one and how waypoints are recorded along the route.
What is the Buyer / Receipt-Holder Portal?
A private portal in which a KYC-verified buyer or receipt holder sees its own product allocation, for example "50,000 MT of Jet A-1 in Tank #42". It is where you confirm what we hold on your behalf.
Why is portal access only available after KYC?
Because a storage allocation is commercially sensitive and, in the wrong hands, raw material for fraud. Portal access is granted only after KYC verification. We do not issue storage receipts to unverified counterparties, and we do not send documents such as a TSR, ATV or DTA to unverified parties.
What does KYC involve?
We verify the company, its ownership and the people authorized to act for it, and screen against sanctions lists. We tell you at the start exactly what we need, and we request documents only through our own channels, never through intermediaries.
Which documents will I receive for stored product?
Once KYC is complete and a Tank Storage Agreement is signed, you receive the documents the agreement specifies, typically receipt confirmations, inspection certificates of quantity and quality, and periodic stock statements. Nothing is issued before both conditions are met.
Can you send a TSR or ATV so my buyer can verify product?
Not to an unverified party. Verification of product in our tanks takes place between verified counterparties under a signed agreement, with inspection arranged through our terminal team. A request for a TSR, ATV or DTA before any contract is a common pattern in advance-fee fraud.
How can I recognize oil-trade document fraud?
Warning signs include fees to "reserve" or "inspect" a tank, documents offered before any contract or KYC, pressure to act quickly, free email addresses, and requests to pay a personal or unrelated third-party account. If something claiming to come from us feels wrong, call +1 252 633 7061.
Will you ever ask me to pay to reserve or inspect a tank?
No. We never ask for pre-payment to reserve or inspect a tank without a signed Tank Storage Agreement. Treat any such request as fraud, whatever letterhead or signature it carries, and report it to us so we can warn others.
Which bank account should I pay?
Only the bank account named in your signed contract. We do not change bank details by email. If a message asks you to pay anywhere else, do not pay; call +1 252 633 7061, using the number on this website rather than one in the message.
Are prices shown on the website?
Tank-Farm Availability shows a price alongside each tank and the days it is available. Freight is quoted per inquiry, because it depends on route, conveyance, laycan and market conditions. Every price is confirmed in a written offer before anything is agreed.
How do I reach the right desk?
Use the contact form and choose a topic: storage, freight, portal, careers or general. Your inquiry goes to the team that handles it. You can also email info@corenergylogistics.com or call +1 252 633 7061.
Where is your head office?
Our head office is at 1400 Dell Range Blvd, Cheyenne, WY 82009, USA. Meetings with our commercial desk are arranged by appointment; contact us first so that the right people are available.
