Walvis Bay, Namibia

Namibia's fuel gateway. We arrange product freight, discharge and inspection at the National Oil Storage Facility in Walvis Bay.

Fuel tanks and a tanker jetty on a desert coastline with sand dunes

Walvis Bay is Namibia's main port and its gateway for imported fuel. The National Oil Storage Facility, operated by the national oil company NAMCOR, has its own deep-water tanker jetty and raised Namibia's fuel security from about 10 to 40 days.

The facility stores diesel, gasoline, jet fuel and heavy fuel oil. We arrange product freight, discharge planning and inspection at the terminal.

The National Oil Storage Facility

The facility has seven tanks: diesel, unleaded petrol, Jet A-1 and heavy fuel oil, and two berths for tankers up to 60,000 deadweight tonnes. Its first diesel cargo arrived in December 2020. The port authority Namport has reserved land for more tank farms.
