About us

Leadership

Six leadership functions, each accountable for one part of how every barrel is stored, moved and accounted for. Profiles are introduced personally during onboarding.

CorEnergy Logistics is led through six functions, each with a clear remit and clear limits. Together they cover the full life of a client's product with us: the commercial terms, the tank it sits in, the conveyance that moves it, the safety of the people and places involved, and the money that changes hands.

We describe those functions here rather than publishing names and photographs. Leadership profiles are introduced personally to counterparties during onboarding, once KYC is complete, so that every client knows exactly who it is dealing with and can verify that person through our head office. Names published online are too easily borrowed by people who are not us.

Who signs what

Authority follows the function. Commitments are signed by the function that will have to deliver them, under a written delegation of authority, and no single person can both agree a commercial term and release product against it. The table shows where the main decisions sit.

Verifying a CorEnergy contact

The oil trade has a long history of impersonation. People borrow real company names to sell tanks that do not exist, issue receipts for product that was never stored and ask for fees to release documents. We cannot stop our name being used, but we can make it easy to check whether a contact is genuine.

  • Call our head office on +1 252 633 7061, using the number on this website
  • Email info@corenergylogistics.com and ask us to confirm the contact
  • Treat any request for a fee before a signed agreement as a warning sign
  • Do not rely on a phone number or link given in the message itself

How leadership works with clients

Most client contact runs through our commercial, terminal and marine teams. Leaders join when a relationship begins, when terms change materially and when something goes wrong. A measurement dispute goes to the terminal function, a demurrage claim to marine, a payment question to finance, so the person answering has both the facts and the authority to resolve it.

Chief Executive Officer

Sets strategy and risk appetite and is accountable for safety, integrity and financial performance across the business. Approves new terminal capacity and major commercial commitments.

Chief Operating Officer, Terminals

Runs tank-farm operations across owned and leased capacity, including measurement, heating, maintenance and tank inspection. Accountable for every receipt, transfer and release recorded against a client allocation.

Head of Marine & Chartering

Fixes and vets tankers and barges, manages laytime and demurrage, and oversees ship-to-ship operations. Owns the vetting standard every vessel must meet before it loads.

Commercial Director

Leads storage and freight terms with clients, from first enquiry to signed Tank Storage Agreement. Ensures no capacity is reserved or allocated before KYC is complete and the agreement is signed.

Head of HSSE

Sets health, safety, security and environmental standards for terminals and conveyances and leads incident investigation. Holds stop-work authority across all operations.

Chief Financial Officer

Oversees finance, credit, KYC and compliance controls, and the integrity of invoicing. Ensures payment is requested only under signed agreements and only to verified accounts.

Frequently asked questions

Why do you not publish the names of your executives?

Published names are routinely used by impersonators in advance-fee schemes. Introducing leaders personally during onboarding, after KYC, gives each counterparty a verified contact and makes impersonation easier to spot.

How do I check that a person really represents CorEnergy?

Call our head office on +1 252 633 7061 or email info@corenergylogistics.com, using the details on this website rather than any in the message you received. We will confirm whether the person works with us.

Who signs a Tank Storage Agreement on your side?

An authorized signatory under our written delegation of authority, normally from the commercial function. You can ask head office to confirm a signatory's authority before you sign.

Can I meet the leadership team?

Yes. The leaders responsible for your business are introduced during onboarding, and meetings or terminal visits can be arranged as part of agreeing terms, in person or by video call.
