Sitra, Bahrain
Bahrain's refining and export hub. We arrange product freight, voyage planning and inspection for cargoes from the Bapco refinery at Sitra.

Bahrain's only refinery sits at Sitra and is linked to a large tank farm and export terminal. The $4.2 billion Bapco Modernisation Programme raised capacity to 380,000 barrels a day and added units for higher-specification fuels.
Bapco Energies declared force majeure in March 2026 after an attack on a refining unit while keeping local supply running. We arrange product freight, voyage planning and inspection.
Loading in the Gulf today
Shipping through the Strait of Hormuz has been disrupted since March 2026. In October 2026 the strait was partly open but contested, with frequent security incidents. Voyage planning now includes war-risk insurance, routing advice and contingency timing.
