Santos, Brazil

Latin America's busiest port. We arrange liquid bulk storage, product freight and inspection at the Alemoa terminals in Santos, serving the São Paulo market.

Chemical and fuel storage tanks beside a river port with green coastal mountains

Santos handled a record 186.4 million tonnes in 2025, more than any other port in Latin America. Its Alemoa liquid bulk area is Brazil's main hub for diesel and gasoline imports, ethanol exports, chemicals and vegetable oils, and it supplies the São Paulo market by road, rail and pipeline.

Independent operators such as Ultracargo, Vopak, Stolthaven and Granel Química run tank terminals beside Petrobras facilities and the RPBC refinery in Cubatão. We source tankage suited to each product, fix freight and appoint inspectors for every custody transfer.

The Alemoa liquid bulk cluster

Alemoa groups most of the port's tank terminals on the right bank of the estuary. The access channel is about 15 metres deep and 25 kilometres long, and the government plans a concession to deepen it to 17 metres. In late 2025 the STS08 fuel terminal area was assigned to Petrobras.
